Hi Parents and Players,
If you remember back just before the Summer Holidays, we announced that we had been selected (1 of10, from over 40,000 voluntary organisations in Scotland) by SCVO, Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisation, to produce a short film of the Club and how we support our local community. Over the last 3 months we have been filming during training session, games, and camps, where we have interviewed a few players and asked many of you to sign consent forms. The SCVO are currently editing our videos into a short film which is going to be* premiered on Tuesday 7th November* (details below).
We have been given
20 tickets to invite members from
Fife Steel Basketball Club to a
Red-Carpet Event and we are sending out a note of interest to all the players and Parents if they are able to attend.
If you are able to attend, please email
members.fifesteel@gmail.com , with the player’s name and the name of others wish to attend. Places are limited and a maximum of 3 people per application.
DETAILSYou are warmly invited to attend the #EssentialSector premiere at the EICC in Edinburgh on Tuesday 7 NovemberThe work of Scotland’s voluntary sector changes people’s lives for the better, brings communities together, improves policy and contributes to the economy.
#EssentialSector is a campaign to show the impact of this #Essential work and to act as a reminder that what we do, and the benefits we bring, are constantly at risk if we do not have the support and funding we need to thrive and survive.
Join this celebratory event to shine a light on ten voluntary sector organisations who have made films about their organisations and the impact they have.
The film premiere will be held after a drinks reception at the end of the first day of The Gathering 2023, which you are also all warmly invited to.
