That’s us, after a wee bit faffing about, got the clubs Basketball Scotland status renewed for the upcoming season!

This means that the club is able to compete/take part in the various events/leagues as previous seasons as well as providing insurance and other benefits of being part of a large sports organisation.

However, all players 13 and older are required to purchase their own membership with Basketball Scotland to be allowed to compete. There are details here: http://basketballscotland.co.uk/about-our-membership/ along with a link at the bottom of that page (I’ll also put it at the bottom of this article) to sign up/log in and obtain your membership for the upcoming season.

Note that those Under 12 can obtain a FREE membership, as well as any other, older than 12, member who does not want to take part in competition – just select the appropriate ‘Recreational’ membership.

The vast majority of members/parents will have received an email from Bastketball Scotland already to renew. Those that haven’t likely haven’t had a membership fully set up from last season. Feel free to contact us for confirmation at fifesteel@gmail.com or just bash on and create a new account for yourself/your child at the link provided.

We’ll give it a couple weeks and chase up where needed (specifically the competitive players).
